    Responsibilities

    General Description- Answer a high volume of patient calls in a professional manner

    • Interact with patients, office managers, and other staff 
    • Interact with outside sources i.e patients, care centers, insurance companies etc
    • Interact via meetings with manager to obtain and/or share information this will help the department better understand why patients are receiving bills, either correctly or incorrectly
    • Report trends
    • Ensures that the policies, procedures, and protocols are followed to support the mission of the Call Center
    • Answer questions from patients regarding statement/patient liability and/or redirect questions to appropriate staff
    • Perform other duties/tasks as requested by providers, coordinators, and management

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma required
    • At least 2 years of medical billing/call center experience
    • Knowledge of English grammar and spelling
    • Knowledge of medical insurance, eob's, customer service
    • Basic use of computer programs and applications, such as Excel and Word
    • Ability to communicate effectively, prioritize, and organize work
